Luncedo Holdings was founded in 2014. We specialise in the transportation and logistics sector within the Sub-Saharan African region. Our primary focus is on cross-border transportation of both personal and commercial cargo.
We have expertise in repatriating expatriate properties, including valuable collectables and returning residents. We cover transportation routes across various countries, including South Africa, Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia, Angola, Malawi, and Zambia. We also facilitate the transportation of goods from Sub-Saharan African countries, as far-reaching as the DRC, into South Africa.
Although Luncedo was initially a family-owned business catering to families in Zimbabwe, we have since expanded our operations and now have a team of knowledgeable staff. We offer cross-country cargo transportation services through Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and the DRC for clients who need cargo moved from the Cape to the Zambesi River or from Plumtree to Windhoek.

The Xhosa community has always been synonymous with lending a hand to those in need, and this company's directors hail from this very community. Their commitment to helping the communities of Mthatha, Dutywa, and the Eastern Cape region, as well as Gugulethu, Langa, and the wider Western Cape region, is the driving force behind their family-run business.
The directors' heritage and their community's values inspired them to establish a logistics and transportation company that has carried forward the legacy of Luncedo. One of the most notable aspects of this legacy is the story of a young Zimbabwean who received a helping hand from the company's directors twenty years ago. This gesture enabled him to grow and develop his own family-run business, which, in collaboration with the two Xhosa directors of Luncedo, has helped establish Luncedo in various sub-Saharan African countries.

Wesley McPhilmon (Procurement & Logistics Operations Director)
Wesley brings a wealth of experience and expertise in logistics and supply chain management, which he has honed throughout his career. He also serves as the Operations Director for Logistics, Supply Chain, and Procurement at Wesbek Freight International, a position he has held with great distinction since March 2006. Before joining Wesbek, Wesley was a Clearing and Forwarding Agent at Y2k Customs Clearing and Forwarding from January 2001 to December 2003, where he was responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of goods while adhering to all relevant regulations and policies.
Wesley's comprehensive understanding of logistics and supply chain management has enabled him to excel in his current position, delivering results that consistently exceed expectations. His dedication to his craft and extensive knowledge of industry best practices have earned him the reputation of an expert in his field. Wesley is a valuable asset to any team and has proven to be an indispensable player in logistics and supply chain management.
Tokozani Mpepanduku (Project & Process Management Director)
Tokozani is an accomplished IT Project Manager with a decade of experience in the events and ceremonies industry. She has been involved in planning and managing awareness campaigns and people displacement projects related to maritime issues. Over the years, she has successfully worked on several large-scale technology implementations, global events, and even presidential ceremonies.
With her extensive project management experience, Tokozani is a valuable asset to this organisation as a professional and experienced team member. She is passionate about process-driven project management, and her expertise in executing high-quality ceremonies is unmatched. Currently, her capabilities sit in the Project Management office consulting on countrywide strategic projects within the maritime space.
Akhona Bam (Human Resources Director)
With over 20 years of expertise in Human Capital Management, Business Development, and Strategic Solution Selling, Akhona has acquired exceptional business acumen, outstanding people management skills, and a strategic ability to manage external stakeholders and ensure successful project delivery. Her extensive career includes significant roles in prestigious companies such as SAP, Mindcor Group, Adcorp Holdings, Medacs Global Group, and Manpower Group. She held positions like Senior Solutions Executive, Key Accounts Director, Regional Manager, and Business Development Executive.
Akhona’s academic qualifications include an MBA with two distinctions, a BCom Honours degree, and a Strategic Development Program completion. She can effectively contribute to business development with her in-depth knowledge of Human Capital. Akhona is committed to her clients and their businesses, driving her to facilitate cost-saving initiatives, workforce solutions, and business efficiencies while focusing on the bottom line.
